HITCON Training 2026 - Call for Speaker Terms and Conditions

 


As attack methods grow increasingly diverse, government agencies and private enterprises continue to expand their cybersecurity investments and place greater emphasis on security education and training to address gaps in policy and tool application. The Taiwan Hacker Association continues to offer the HITCON Training series and sincerely invites cybersecurity experts to submit proposals as instructors, providing professionals from both public and private sectors with opportunities for advancement and helping them improve their technical and incident response capabilities to combat emerging threats.

Whether your expertise lies in Web Security, Penetration Testing, Reverse Engineering, Digital Forensics, Cloud Security, AI Security, or any other cybersecurity domain — we warmly welcome your submission! We look forward to you sharing real-world offensive and defensive experience through a tiered course design where participants can learn hands-on and gain in-depth exposure to the latest cybersecurity techniques.

Speaker Terms and Conditions

By submitting a course through the HITCON Training 2026 submission form, instructors acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Course Content License
You agree that the organizer may film, reproduce, and distribute course content for HITCON Training 2026, including use for promotional purposes. During the course preparation period, the organizer may publish your course information, teaching materials, and photos through the website, email, print media, and other channels.

2. Review Confidentiality Agreement
Review committee members may access all submitted course materials for evaluation. All reviewers have signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the association and are obligated to keep submission contents confidential. Materials may not be disclosed without the instructor's consent.

3. Teaching Equipment Provided
Classrooms will be equipped with a projector, projection screen, wired/wireless internet, and a microphone. Instructors must bring any other equipment required for teaching (e.g., laptop).

4. Submission Deadline
Please complete the "HITCON Training 2026 - Call for Speaker" submission form by April 19 (Sun) at 23:59:59 (UTC+8), providing complete course information for review. If the required number of courses is reached ahead of schedule, the organizer reserves the right to close submissions early. Instructors interested in teaching are encouraged to submit as soon as possible, as submissions will be reviewed in order of receipt.

5. Minimum Enrollment & Speaker Fees
Selected courses require a minimum of 10 enrolled participants to proceed, with a maximum of 30 participants per course. Course tuition is categorized into three difficulty tiers — A (Advanced), B (Intermediate), and C (Beginner) — with the applicable tier determined by the organizer upon review. Details on speaker fee calculation will be communicated upon acceptance, and payment will be issued after the course concludes based on actual revenue.

6. Instructor Travel Reimbursement (excluding teaching assistants)

  • a. Domestic instructors: Reimbursed based on actual receipts (parking fees, taxi receipts) and ticket stubs

  • b. Overseas instructors: Airfare subsidy of USD $300 (overseas instructors refers to non-Taiwanese individuals residing abroad)

  • c. Note: This policy does not apply to invited overseas instructors

7. Course Duration Options
Courses are available in 1-day (6 hours), 2-day (12 hours), or 3-day (18 hours) formats. Instructors must select their preferred duration at the time of submission.

8. Instructor Benefits

A. Accommodation

Accommodation is provided based on course duration (check-in the day before the course begins, check-out the day after it ends):

  • 6-hour course: 2 nights
  • 12-hour course: 3 nights
  • 18-hour course: 4 nights

Accommodation eligibility and details:

  • Available only to instructors whose household registration is outside of Taipei City and New Taipei City
  • Up to 2 instructors per course are eligible for accommodation (shared double room)
  • Single rooms or additional rooms are at the instructor's own expense

B. HITCON 2026 Tickets

  • Date: August 21 (Fri) – August 22 (Sat)
  • Venue: Academia Sinica Humanities and Social Sciences Building (128 Sec. 2, Yanjiuyuan Rd., Nangang District, Taipei)
  • Note: This benefit is subject to adjustment based on the format of HITCON 2026

9. The organizer reserves the right to modify, change, interpret, or cancel this event, and will notify relevant parties of any changes. This includes the right to adjust course schedules and classroom assignments, or to cancel or modify accepted course submissions.

  • Class Hours: Morning 9:30–12:30 / Afternoon 14:00–17:00

  • Venue: Unisoft Education Training Center, 14F, No. 99, Fuxing N. Rd., Songshan District, Taipei
