HITCON Community 2023 - Village 攤位資訊釋出!

HITCON Community 2023 - Village Booth Information Released!

🤚什麼是 Village?

🤚 What is a Village? A Village is a concept introduced from international conferences. It presents a single theme through various means such as Talks, CTFs, and Labs, allowing participants to explore specific cybersecurity topics together. Past themes have included Vote Hacking Village, Social Engineering Village, 5G Village, and more.

🤚Village

🤚 What's the difference between a Village and a Community Booth? Village booths are organized by specific communities, laboratories, or research units focused on a particular theme. The emphasis is on a "single theme." Creating content and activities for a Village requires significant effort, so let's support these organizers and enjoy the activities at their booths together 🎉 Community booths, on the other hand, are centered around "community" and may involve recruiting members, promoting groups, and hosting fun activities. If you want to learn about the main activities of various communities, feel free to visit the community booths 🥳

「IoT security Village」by TDOHacker - TDOH

TDOHacker, which stands for "The Declaration Of Hacker," or simply TDOH, was established in 2013 and has been dedicated to creating an adventurer's guild in the cybersecurity community. The organization's core mission is to build a community in the field of information security, encouraging and inspiring students' passion for learning about cybersecurity. To keep students motivated in their cybersecurity learning journey, TDOH launched a rewarding mechanism within its community. Through this incentive system, students are encouraged to make continuous progress and overcome challenges they may encounter in their cybersecurity studies, such as a lack of necessary equipment or suitable environments. TDOH actively collaborates with several associations, including the Taiwan Cyber Security Industry Development Association, the Taiwan Information Security Association, TWCSA, Borg, and others. These collaborative partners assist students in overcoming difficulties they may face in their cybersecurity education. TDOHacker not only provides learning opportunities but also aims to harness the power of cybersecurity enthusiasts through the concept of an adventurer's guild, jointly advancing the development of the information security field. Through the rewarding mechanism and collaborations with associations, TDOH is committed to providing students with an enhanced learning experience and supporting their continuous growth and progress on the path of cybersecurity.

「Deepfake Village」by Deepfake Detection with Faceless Lab

At our booth, we will showcase the latest advancements in deepfake detection with a focus on a cutting-edge technique called "Faceless." Deepfake technology has become increasingly sophisticated, posing significant risks to individuals, businesses, and society as a whole. Our booth aims to raise awareness about the potential dangers of deepfakes and provide attendees with insights into how they can protect themselves.

The booth activities will include:

  • Introduction to Deepfake Technology: We will provide an overview of deepfake technology, explaining how it works and highlighting its potential negative implications. This will help attendees understand the importance of deepfake detection and the need for effective countermeasures.
  • Live Deepfake Demonstrations: We will showcase live deepfake demonstrations to illustrate how convincingly synthetic media can be generated. These demonstrations will feature examples of deepfake videos and images, emphasizing the difficulty of distinguishing them from genuine content.
  • Faceless Detection Technique: We will introduce our innovative deepfake detection approach called "Faceless." This technique utilizes advanced machine learning algorithms and focuses on analyzing contextual information and inconsistencies beyond facial features alone. We will explain the methodology behind Faceless and discuss its advantages over traditional detection methods.
  • Comparative Analysis: Through informative displays and presentations, we will provide a comparative analysis of Faceless with existing deepfake detection methods. We will highlight the strengths and limitations of different techniques, emphasizing the superior accuracy and robustness of Faceless in identifying deepfake content.
  • Interactive Workshops: We will host interactive workshops to engage attendees in hands-on activities related to deepfake detection. Participants will have the opportunity to use detection tools and software developed based on the Faceless approach. These workshops will provide practical experience and insights into the challenges faced in detecting deepfakes.
  • Panel Discussions and Q&A Sessions: We will organize panel discussions featuring experts in deepfake detection and cybersecurity. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, discuss emerging trends, and explore the ethical implications associated with deepfake technology. These sessions will encourage knowledge-sharing and provide a platform for in-depth discussions.
  • Resources and Takeaways: We will offer informational brochures, fact sheets, and reference materials to help attendees further their understanding of deepfake detection. Additionally, we will provide recommendations on best practices for individuals and organizations to protect themselves against deepfake threats.

Our booth will serve as an educational and interactive platform, empowering attendees to recognize and combat the dangers of deepfakes. By highlighting the effectiveness of the Faceless technique and promoting awareness of deepfake detection methods, we aim to foster a more resilient and informed cybersecurity community.
