【HITCON CMT 2019 Notices】

HITCON 2019 Community will begin on 8/23(Fri.). In this two-day event, there are some important notices that we would like you to know. Please take a look at them down below and feel free to contact our staffs if you have any questions. We wish you a pleasant time at HITCON CMT!

【 Date
  • 2019/08/23 (Fri) 08:00~17:30 (Registration 08:30~09:30, Morning tea 08:30)
  • 2019/08/24 (Sat) 08:00~18:00 (Registration 08:30~09:00, Morning tea 08:30)

【 Venue
  • Humanities & Social Sciences Building, Academia Sinica (No.128, Sec. 2, Academia Rd., Nangang Dist., Taipei City 115, Taiwan) 

【 Traffic Information 】
  1. Shuttle bus: There are shuttle buses of HITCON in two days. Please go to MRT Nangang Exhibition Center Station(南港展覽館站) Exit 1 and take the escalator, then stay at the bus stop. (https://goo.gl/RJy3cR)
  2. Bus: take line 212, 276, 306, 620, 645, 679, 205, 5 to Academia Sinica Station.
  3. To Venue: Walk through the Hi-Life CVS and turn left, then walk through the main entrance and turn right. Walk straight along the main route.

【 OPass APP 】

【 Registration 】 
  1. Registration begins at 8: 30 A.M. Please use OPass to check-in.
  2. If you’re using a student discount ticket, please present any valid certificates listed below.
    • College Student ID (with current semester registration stamp will do)
    • College diploma (Current semester diploma, please also bring an additional ID for reference)
    • College transcript (Current semester transcript with an additional ID for reference)

【 Meal 】
  1. You’re encouraged to bring your thermal mugs. Paper cups will also be provided (please reuse them)
  2. Please recycle the lunchbox and plates.
  3. The conference room is not available for food except for lunchtime.

【 During Sessions 】
  1. Please bring your belongings with you before leaving the hall, HITCON is not responsible for any loss or theft at the venue.
  2. English and Chinese interpreting service will be available through online streaming. Please bring your headsets.
  3. The ethernet socket in the conference room is unable to use. Please connect the wireless network.
  4. Wifi SSID (It is strongly recommended that set up a VPN before actually using the network, and a must to change the default gateway, otherwise, the outgoing network traffic remain unencrypted.)

    【 Invoice 】
    1. We will send all the invoices after the event by mail. If you didn’t purchase the ticket by yourself, please contact the person who helps you to purchase the ticket.
    2. If you need to change your invoice, please take the invoice to the information desk. Fill the table and make us understand: https://forms.gle/gJ1pMBaCBQiH64Am9

    【 Lost- and- Found 】 
    1. If you lost your items, please go to the information desk!

    【 Attention 】
    1. This year we still have a lot of attendees, please arrive earlier if you can. Seats are not guaranteed, and please don’t occupy the vacant seats.
    2. The first day of the conference will provide a badge for the attendee, please keep the badge in two days. Will not reissue if lose.
    3. Wear your badge throughout the two-day event. Without the badge, you will not be able to enter.
    4. This year we cannot take on-site registrations because there are already a great number of attendees.
    5. For other related regulations please refer to the organizers.
    6. The HITCON CMT will announce the event notification during the conference day by IRC and OPass push notification.

    【 Maps
    • There are maps on every floor. It's good for you to find the stand in Academia Sinica.

      【 Belongings 】
      • Please keep your valuable items on your person during the conference. We are not responsible for any lost.
      • We will not provide any baggage deposit service. There are the baggage lockers in MRT Nangang Exhibition Center Station Exit 2A. https://web.metro.taipei/img/ALL/INFOPDF/031.pdf

      【 In Case of Typhoon
      • If the conference schedule has changed, a notice will be issued at HITCON FB, and an e-mail notice will be sent to you. Please pay close attention to both channels.
      • If typhoon day occurs on August 23th (Friday), conference events will be reduced to ONE DAY ONLY (Saturday) with extended schedule until 22:00.
      • If typhoon day occurs on August 24th (Saturday), only the Friday schedule will remain.
